Mayley is an 11 year old introvert. She has middle-level autism and really only gets along with Hannah for the most part. She likes to play, make up scenarios of pretend, and she likes to basically do anything that Hannah is doing. In that aspect, she is a girl of simple pleasures.

Her power is basically she is an inhibitor to evil... ---the best way to think of it is like she is radio-active, but her decay only effects evil that is around her (the magbites). If anything has Magbite influence around her, she passively destroys it without even knowing about it by being close by. This is why Hannah likes being around her since Hannah's power was altered by the bad guys. She does not remember people's worst memories and feelings when Mayley is around. If she does stray from her, her torment returns after a while.

She is also able to see people's spiritual aura. She knows if you are a good guy or a bad guy. So even though she is functionally hindered, lying to her is no joke. She knows who she can trust and who cannot be trusted.

Because she does not like being around strangers, she clings like crazy to Hannah, and then either to Clare or even to Jennifer as plan B or plan C.
This is a breif overview of Mayley
She does EVERYTHING with Hannah. She sleeps with her, she changes clothes and bathes with her, she eats with her, she tries her best to go to school with her, play at recess with her, does HW wtih her.... they are basically 2 peas in a pod
Since Hannah is very intellectual, Mayley consequently gets to learn a lot of what Hannah learns as well. Often they will read out loud together, and they can read very intense and difficult books together
